THE STORY BEHIND

“THE GIRL DINNER” is the intimate connection between the kitchen and a girls bathroom. Two spaces where femininity exists in its most raw, unfiltered form. It highlights the beauty in imperfection, the rituals of self expression, and the effortless yet chaotic essence of modern girlhood. Through Miu Miu's signature blend of undone luxury, this campaign redefines glamour as something spontaneous, real, and deeply personal.

The creative process began with researching the visual identity and cultural attitude of Miu Miu, focusing on its balance between luxury, rebellion, and playful femininity. From there, the concept of The Girl Dinner emerged as a way to reinterpret the ritual of getting ready with friends through a cinematic lens. The process included moodboard development, location scouting, styling exploration, and storyboarding to shape the visual narrative. Together with the team, we experimented with props, lighting, and spontaneous interactions to capture moments that felt raw, intimate, and authentic, allowing the final film and editorial images to reflect the chaotic yet effortless spirit of modern girlhood. Si quieres, también puedo darte una versión más “cool creative director energy” (más corta y más fashion-editorial), que a veces queda mejor en portfolios de diseño y dirección creativa.

GIRL DINNER

Six friends, still in towels, rush to get ready for a big night out, but their dressing room is the kitchen. Instead of getting dressed the usual way, they “cook” their outfits; stirring jewelry, flipping heels, and baking dresses in the oven. The kitchen is a mess with flour everywhere and accessories scattered, but they laugh and help each other put their looks together. When the timer dings, they step out, no longer in towels, but in perfectly “cooked” outfits, ready for a girls night out.
